It really shocks me just how many brands rely on meta ads to stay afloat

Ur telling me if ur ad account got banned for a month you’d struggle with cash flow??

I hop on countless calls of biz owners in a real panic

and it's ALWAYS because of some version of:

'our Ads aren't performing as well as they used to'

So to that I say let's look at the data:

In 2022 an achievable good ROAS sat between 4-5x (spend $1k, get $5k) In 2026, you're great if you get a 2.5x ROAS (spend $1k, get $2.5k)

When you factor in COGS, overheads, team - you really don't get much profit back

like... at all 💀

and God forbid ur ad account crashes, gets banned, doesn't track properly

^^ all things very very common on meta (iykyk)

So now you're sat there with your business having made no real progress, because you liked the Shopify ding dopamine rush

But you have 0 audience 0 community 0 brand, ultimately

I see this on a literal weekly basis

If anything this post is to urge business owners to start shifting attention to organics

don't cold turkey the ads, but start building the knowledge and community online

because when the day hits where your ads don't perform well for whatever reason

(and trust me, it will)

you will thank yourself SO MUCH for setting those organic foundations now

it may even save your business
