I have a live-in nanny for my 3 month old son

and I'd never go back

Between my husband and I, we have more businesses than I even care to count - but I'm gonna guess about 9 😂

some are in build phase. some are the profit centre. some are long-term investments.

our son is our absolute world. the greatest gift God has ever given us.

but that doesn't mean we have to lose our passions and freedom because of that.

(actually, I kinda hate how being a struggling, tired parent is romanticised)

most nights we go out for dinner just us, after Micah's bedtime if we want to spontaneously go on a night away, we can we don't have to constantly cross calendars to see if we can socialise

but from Micah's side: he spends 24/7 with someone high energy (either the nanny or us) he socialises all day with other adults/babies (the staff at the hotel next to our house are officially his best friends now) he's always on a side quest, whether it be to the local market, church, or a cafe

and I don't think it's a coincidence that he's about 3 months ahead development wise

(having a 3 month old that's rolling, laughing and trying to crawl isn't normal lol)

a live-in nanny isn't ideal for a lot of people, for multiple reasons

but for us, it's the best investment we've made as parents

it means our whole family gets freedom - a concept we get to teach our son from birth
