building businesses saved my life

(very literally)

in 2018 I was a biochemistry fresher at uni

drinking every night, comparing myself to everyone, using sharpie to fill in my eyebrows 💀

I tried everything

anti-depressants. anti-anxiety meds. therapy.

but I just felt worse and worse whatever I did

In 2020 it came to placement year at uni

then BOOM... COVID

no more nightclubs, no more drinking, just me and myself

so I made an Instagram account to get creative

(I'd done a foundation degree in social strategy during my placement year)

sharing tips about marketing, how to grow your MRR, algorithm updates

then a girl messages me in 2021

'can I pay you to run my account for me?'

I didn't even know it was a job. But I said f*ck it let me try

I charged her £50/month for full management

within 30 days she had +£50k in her bank

(I spoke about her a couple days ago if you want to check out that post for the story)

and from that moment 5 years ago - I started building up to the freedom I have today

I live in Bali I'm happy I'm healthy

I'm free

I don't regret being the stereotypical lost fresher, drinking her way into depression

Because without her, I wouldn't be who I am or where I am today

But to that 18 year old girl that had already been through 5 lifetimes of trauma:

I love you. I'm proud of you. And I promise, life is going to get abundantly greater than you could ever ask, think, or imagine
